It’s not just what you eat, it’s what your food eats. We are a pasture based small farm, raising chickens and pigs on organic grains; our cows and goats pasture/browse. Feeding livestock the way Mother Nature intended is our preferred way of maintaining animal health. We also offer goats for brush control in Skagit, Whatcom, Island and Snohomish counties. We offer chicken and eggs by appointment. See website for more information including how to order, prices and other farm services.

We believe the integrity of the farmer is more important than any certification. We are not certified organic but do not believe in using antibiotics or drugs unless absolutely necessary. Feeding livestock the way Mother Nature intended by using pasture/browse as the base is our preferred way of maintaining animal health. Homeopathy and herbal are our preferred routes of returning an animal to health. Frequent moves to fresh pasture/browse are mandatory.

Brittle Barn Farms is a start-up poultry farm founded in 2012 in Bellingham, Washington. Owned and operated by environmentally conscious, young farmers, Brittle Barn utilizes traditional methods of raising livestock with responsible land-stewardship, an eye toward food justice, and minimal fossil fuel input.

The farm is comprised of 5-acres of pasture, wetlands, and young woodlands located just outside of Bellingham city limits. On this acreage grows non-certified organic fruit, vegetables, grain, Icelandic sheep, contemporary broilers and sundry heritage poultry varieties.

Poultry is the primary output of our farm. All of our birds are fed a diet of high-protein organic locally mixed feed, fresh fruits and veggies, greens and grubs. Hand-raised, free-ranged on pasture, they have limitless access to exercise during daylight hours, providing a meal high in omega 3, nutrients, and flavor.

We select fast-growing contemporary and heritage breeds with strong foraging instincts, to produce a good-sized bird at an affordable price. White Rock-Red Cornish cross chickens average a dress weight of 4 lbs. The Embden geese average a dress weight of 8 lbs. The Bourbon Red turkeys, a heritage breed known for their biological fitness and superior flavor, average a dress weight of 14 lbs.

To date, our market has enthusiastically welcomed our products. The prices we set allow us to continue to provide quality wholesome foods to populations of all income levels.

As we look to expand into local food Co-ops, butcher shops, and restaurants we are keeping in mind our commitment to making quality local meat available to all income levels. With this in mind we are offering our chicken at $4.75 per pound from the farm. It will be raised on our farm and processed humanely in Acme on Fridays and Saturdays. Our poultry capacity varies from 100 birds a month up to 400 birds a month depending on the season and demand. We process our chickens from April through December and offer on farm pick up once a month. Please feel free to contact Zack Tyler with any further question.

Burk Ridge Farms is first and foremost a family owned and operated farm dedicated to raising the healthiest, highest quality meats possible. Our start came when Vernon and JoAnn bought a great angus herd from a local butcher they knew and trusted. Those original cows would become the start of something amazing! We have since created a USDA certified, Mobile processing truck to go with our Butcher shop on our farm in order to extend our distribution to restaurant and grocery stores. We now supply many commercial locations around the Pacific Northwest as well as our direct supply to customers right at the farm. Our mission is to change how you think about Grass fed Beef and redefine local as we are right in your back yard. We start by controlling every step of the process of bringing beef, pork and poultry products to your table. While conventional beef touches many hands before it reaches your table, ours touches one set of hands....Ours...We just put on different hats. We; calve, raise, finish, butcher, process, package and deliver our Grass Fed Beef so you know exactly what you are getting every time.

While we have many things we do that separate us from your average beef grower ill share 3 huge factors:
1. We only ever feed our beef high quality Grass, so it is truly 100% Grass fed and finished.
2. We grow our beef to an older age of 27-33 months to ensure great marbling and flavor in our beef.
3. Lastly we dry age ALL of our beef products a minimum of 3 weeks to ensure the finest quality and flavor you have every sunk your teeth into, every time!

We look forward to serving you and becoming your local source for the best meats you can buy. We can be reached at 360.746.5592 or by email at Also check us out at

We are a fifth generation Lynden dairy family. All of the milk that we process in our bottling plant comes from our own happy cows, which are milked in our parlor across the road. We predominately have Holsteins, a few Jerseys, and some that are a cross between Holstein and Jersey. We do not sell our milk raw. However we use "low-temperature" pasteurization, and provide a choice of non-homogenized or homogenized.

We have 2 large, sealed vats which hold around 200 gallons each. After the milk inside reaches 145 °F (as opposed to the higher temperature of 161º F), we hold the 145º F temperature for 30 minutes, and then quickly cool the milk to about 33 °F. The lower heat leaves more of the good proteins, providing our milk with a richer flavor while still effectively destroying any pathogens that may have been present.

During the growing season, April to October, the cows graze on fresh grass in our pastures (weather permitting). After milking, they get a mixture of grass silage, long-stem hay, and a small amount of grain, then head back to the field. We are unable to pasture during the cold, wetter months of our area. All of their feed is Certified Organic which means the land needs to have had no fertilizers, herbicides, or other chemicals applied to it for at least 3 years. Our cows receive this feed from the day they are born. Also, our animals cannot be given antibiotics, synthetic hormones, or other banned substances. However, if a cow needs antibiotics, she is treated promptly, and then sold to a conventional dairy when she is well.

Welcome to Jones Creek Farms. Our small, family operated farm is located in upper Skagit County off of Highway 20. We have 34 beautiful acres, divided by Jones Creek, a small creek that flows into the Skagit River. Placed snugly up against the Cascades, the small microclimate helps keep our area warmer in the summer and colder in the winter than the lower main part of the valley and produces some of the best quality fruit and vegetables in the valley!

We would love for you to visit us on the farm or at our website or at one of our many farmers markets. We grow many heritage varieties and we have a farm tour every year, visit our web site for date this year. We accept one intern each year, e-mail us for info.

Old Silvana Creamery is truly a family owned and operated raw milk dairy. My wife and I, as well as our four children ages 8 to 18 do all the work on our farm, from milking the cows, bottling the milk and distributing our raw Guernsey milk from King county to the Canadian border. We also have on-farm sales since we are conveniently located 1/2 mile west of Interstate 5 (exit 208).

Old Silvana Creamery is at this time, the only 100% Guernsey raw milk dairy in the whole state of Washington, we have no other breeds in our herd. Guernsey milk is well known for its excellent cheese making properties, higher nutritional values and a superior great flavor! We milk the cows with machines but into buckets rather than through a pipeline, many believe it is gentler on the milk and helps retain a good cream-line in the milk. Some believe the pumps that are needed to transfer the milk from a pipeline into the milk tank can partially homogenize the milk not to mention, requiring much more chemical detergents to try and clean all the additional surfaces that a pipeline system requires.

Not all raw milk has the same flavor, try Guernsey milk and taste the difference!
